VISA Cardholder Frequently Asked Questions

What changes have been made to ASI’s VISA credit card program?
ASI has upgraded its processing system. This will enhance fraud prevention and security features on each VISA card as well as offer after hours phone support.

How can I make a payment to my VISA credit card?
While payments made through payroll allocations, service centers, and share transfers are no longer offered, ASI provides many payment options.
- Bill Payer
- Autopay processor
- EASI (Online Banking System)
- Telephone Service Representatives
- Any Branch
- By Mail

How can I view my credit card transactions?
If you log onto EASI, you can view your statements from May 2010 and before as usual. ASI’s processing conversion occurred on June 24, 2010. Pre-conversion details for the month of June may be printed and retrieved at any ASI location. For card history after June 24th, please access ASI’s website. In order to utilize this feature, you must login into EASI. Click on the “On Line Credit Card” link and add your card number. Please follow the additional prompts. Transactional history is available through this link.

What is my new loan number?
New loan numbers have been assigned as a result of this credit card conversion. A branch employee or telephone service representative can assist you in obtaining your new loan number.

Has my VISA credit card number changed? Will this affect usage of my card?
Within our new processing system, we have cross-referenced your current card number with a new card number. This new card number will be on your new card when your present card expires. These two numbers identify you and your account and should not affect the use of your VISA credit card.

Can I still receive E-statements?
Yes. In order to activate this option, you must have your current card reissued and sign up for E-statements once you receive your new card. You may contact our one of our branches or our telephone service representatives to initiate this action. Previous statement history will be available.

Can I still make a cash advance (add on) in any branch or through the telephone service representatives? What other options exist?
Yes. Cash advances can still be made and additional options exist. To perform a cash advance, please visit any ASI branch. Your VISA credit card must be presented at the time you request the advance and a signature for authorization is required to debit your card. We regret that our telephone service representatives will no longer be able to assist with this type of transaction.
You can also visit any financial institution that authorizes VISA cash advances. While ASI FCU ATMs do not support this function currently, you may utilize any ATM which does offer cash advances.

Who do I call if I have a problem with my VISA credit card?
Our telephone service representatives and branch teams still handle all concerns related to your VISA credit card. You may phone 504-733-7274 or 1-800-725-2624.

How is my VISA credit card listed on credit bureau reports?
ASI Federal Credit Union still appears on your credit report. During our transitional period if you have any questions or concerns please contact ASI at 504-733-7274 or 1-800-725-2624.

Can I still use convenience checks?
While this option is no longer available, ASI offers cash advances and counter/certified check options for you to utilize in lieu of convenience checks.

If I made a double payment in error to my VISA, how can I get refunded?
Please contact our telephone service representatives or your nearest branch to discuss your refund options.

How can I see activity from my last credit card statement?
Your last statement should be complete. From your last statement until the date of our processing conversion, transaction history is available from any branch or our telephone service representatives. Post-conversion account details may be obtained through EASI.

What information should I be prepared to verify if I am contacted about possible fraud activity on my VISA credit card?
You may be asked to verify your name, phone number, address, or last four digits of your social security number.
